CONTEST ALERT! Awesomeness in Indy – Pirate’s Revenge at The Children’s Museum

If you already follow me on social media, you know I LOVE The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, and from time to time, they let me come in like the overgrown kid I am and check out exhibits and other special experience before they are open to the public, so that I can share my experience and tell you that you all need to get your butts down there and have some fun!

A couple of weeks ago, I got one such opportunity to experience this year’s haunted house; Pirate’s Revenge, and this time, I brought friends! My friend Courtney and her two-year-old daughter Cali agreed to accompany me on my journey to No Rules Island and this is what happened:

two pirates

Courtney and Cali were the most adorable pirate duo ever! Courtney is DisneyBounding as Smee and Cali is just the fiercest little pirate. Do those boots come in adult?!

There are spooky puppies! Can I bring him home to protect my house from angry spirits? Please?!

Even during Lights On hours (this is how the haunted house was set up for our preview), Pirate’s Revenge might be a tad too spooky for the littlest of little ones! Your mileage may vary, because every kid is different, and especially for first timers, you really don’t know how your child will react until you give it a try. In our case, this was Cali’s first time and she was SO brave, but the journey to No Rules Island was more than enough excitement for her. There were hidden exits throughout Pirate’s Revenge, so we were able to get her out of there before the monsters could smell any fear!

So I finished the haunted house on my own, like the super dork I am. Sneaking into dark corners and celebrating victories along the way.
